Brian To’o has reiterated his commitment to the Penrith Panthers, dismissing any suggestions of unrest regarding his future with the club, even as the impending departure of his close friend, Jarome Luai, weighs on him emotionally.

To’o, who has played a crucial role in the Panthers’ three consecutive NRL premiership victories, will soon find himself as the last remaining member of his close-knit group of friends at Penrith. His teammates Stephen Crichton and Spencer Leniu have already left the team this year, moving to the Bulldogs and Roosters, respectively. Now, with Luai set to join the Wests Tigers during the off-season, To’o is coming to terms with the fact that he will be the only one from the group to stay with the Panthers beyond 2024.

While the departure of his friends may be affecting him, To’o has made it clear that his top priority is to remain with the Panthers and help the team maintain its recent success. The winger’s commitment to the club has not wavered, despite the personal challenges he faces as his closest teammates move on to new chapters in their careers. To’o’s loyalty to Penrith, and his passion for contributing to the team’s ongoing dominance, remain firm.

The looming departure of Luai, who shares a particularly strong bond with To’o both on and off the field, is especially difficult for the winger. However, To’o has emphasized that his focus remains on the Panthers and continuing to perform at his best for the club.

Although the changes within the squad present emotional challenges, To’o is determined to navigate them while staying true to his commitment to Penrith.
