Rob Edwards has played down fears that Wolverhampton Wanderers could lose Jørgen Strand Larsen, insisting the club remains fully aligned behind its long-term vision despite recent speculation.
When asked whether he was worried about the striker potentially leaving Molineux, Edwards was calm and measured in his response. The Wolves boss acknowledged the interest surrounding Strand Larsen but stressed that uncertainty is part of modern football, especially when a player is performing at a high level.
“I’m not worried,” Edwards said. “Jørgen is happy here, he’s settled, and he understands what we’re building. Good players will always attract attention, but that doesn’t mean we’re looking to sell.”
Edwards’ stance, however, appears to differ slightly from that of the club’s new ownership. The new owner has reportedly objected to the suggestion that Wolves could be forced into a sale, making it clear that funds have already been set aside for fresh recruitment. With a transfer budget agreed, the hierarchy believe the club can strengthen without sacrificing key assets.
That financial backing has reassured Edwards, who sees stability as crucial heading into the next phase of the project. “We’ve planned ahead,” he added. “There’s a budget, there’s support, and there’s ambition.”
For Wolves supporters, the message is clear: Strand Larsen remains central to Edwards’ plans, and the club is focused on building forward, not breaking apart.
