‘We Miss Him’: Brighton Boss Admits £17m Star’s Absence Is Being Felt

Brighton & Hove Albion have been forced to cope without Jack Hinshelwood after the promising midfielder suffered an injury setback at the start of the season.
The 21-year-old had made an excellent start to the campaign, scoring twice in Brighton’s impressive 4-0 Premier League victory over Aston Villa. His performances immediately highlighted his growing importance to Fabian Hürzeler’s side.
However, Hinshelwood picked up a small issue during training and subsequently missed Brighton’s 4-0 Conference League victory over Tromsø. Hürzeler later confirmed that the club would have to be patient with the midfielder and monitor his recovery over the following weeks.
The injury came at an unfortunate time for Hinshelwood, who had already established himself as an important option for Hürzeler. Brighton have also been dealing with several other injury concerns, increasing the pressure on the squad to find solutions.
As of the latest injury update, Hinshelwood remains among Brighton’s unavailable players, alongside several other first-team stars.
Brighton have nevertheless continued to perform strongly despite the absences. The Seagulls followed their early-season results with a convincing 5-0 victory over Coventry City, demonstrating the depth available to Hürzeler.
For Hinshelwood, the priority will now be making a full recovery before returning to a Brighton side that will certainly benefit from having his versatility and attacking quality back in the squad.
