Everton are reportedly keen to sign Blackburn Rovers and Super Eagles right-back Ryan Alebiosu ahead of the January transfer window. The 24-year-old full-back has been attracting interest from the Premier League and across Europe thanks to his strong performances this season in the Championship with Blackburn. Everton aren’t alone — Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and Italian clubs Sassuolo and Genoa are also monitoring the Nigeria international’s situation.
Alebiosu, born in London to Nigerian parents, began his career at Arsenal before spells with Crewe Alexandra and Kilmarnock, and then a permanent move to Blackburn from Belgian side KV Kortrijk last summer. In the 2025-26 campaign he has featured 20 times in the Championship, scoring once and showing the attacking threat and defensive solidity that have caught the eye of scouts.
Currently representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Alebiosu made his senior international debut and helped the Super Eagles advance to the last 16. The transfer interest is likely to intensify once he returns from AFCON, with a fee of around £4 million suggested for the right-back.
For Everton, who have sought defensive options on the right, Alebiosu could be an exciting addition — youthful, versatile and already gaining international experience — as they look to bolster their squad mid-season.
