The Arizona Diamondbacks got a boost ahead of Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies with a key lineup update involving Corbin Carroll. After dealing with a hamstring concern, the star outfielder is nearing a return, with the team showing clear confidence in his recovery.
According to Jackson, Carroll reported feeling much better, and there are strong indications he could be back in action soon, with no imaging required on the injury.
Earlier in the year, Carroll also battled a hand issue during spring training, which ruled him out of the World Baseball Classic. Since returning, however, he has been in excellent form, featuring in 12 regular-season games. Across 49 plate appearances, he’s posted an impressive .333 batting average, .408 on-base percentage, and .690 slugging percentage, along with two home runs, three doubles, and a league-leading three triples.
The two-time All-Star has shown no signs of slowing down, and Arizona remains optimistic that his current issue—reported as minor—won’t sideline him for long. Barring any setbacks, his return appears imminent.
As for the team, the Diamondbacks hold a 7–6 record so far in the 2026 season, sitting third in the National League West. While their start has been inconsistent, flashes of quality suggest plenty of promise moving forward.
Arizona is currently in the middle of a road trip, beginning with a three-game series against Philadelphia from Friday through Sunday. They will then head to face the Baltimore Orioles in another three-game set before returning home.
Further updates on Carroll’s condition are expected as the team continues to monitor his progress.
