The second season of the *SPRINT* docuseries is set to premiere on Netflix on November 13, but some key figures from the first season will not be returning. The inaugural season, which was released in July, showcased the journey of top sprinters like Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Shericka Jackson, Elaine Thompson-Herah, and Marcell Jacobs as they prepared for the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

This new season shifts focus to the athletes’ preparations for the recently concluded Paris Olympic Games. While the cast for season two has been announced, several prominent sprinters from the first season, including Richardson, Thompson-Herah, and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, are notably absent.

Zharnel Hughes, who appeared in the first season, is also missing from the lineup this time around. However, the docuseries will continue to feature Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles, who returns with full prominence. Three-time Olympic champion Gabby Thomas, Olympic bronze medalist Fred Kerley, and Olympic silver medalist Kishane Thompson are also set to appear in the new season.

Additionally, Julien Alfred, the Olympic 100m champion, will make her debut on the show. The newly-crowned Olympic 200m champion, Letsile Tebogo, will also join the cast. Melissa Jefferson, an Olympic 100m bronze medalist, and Twanisha Terry, an Olympic 100m finalist and 4x100m Olympic gold medalist, will also make their first appearances in the docuseries.

Returning athletes include former Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs and Olympic 200m silver medalist Kenny Bednarek. Shericka Jackson, despite pulling out of the Paris Olympics due to an injury, will still be featured.

Another new addition to the docuseries is Oblique Seville, a young sprinter who made headlines by defeating Noah Lyles in the men’s 100m at the Racers Grand Prix and the men’s 100m semifinal at the Olympic Games. Seville’s impressive performances have earned him a spot in the upcoming season, adding fresh excitement to the series.

Overall, while some big names from the first season will not be returning, the second season of *SPRINT* promises to bring a mix of familiar faces and new talent, offering viewers a closer look at the intense preparations and challenges faced by these world-class athletes on their road to Olympic glory.
