Thomas has wasted little time reminding everyone of his quality, with his performances since the move raising questions over whether Stoke allowed one of their most influential players to leave too soon.

Robins is understood to have been particularly impressed by Thomas during his time at Stoke, and there is now growing speculation that the Welsh winger could be remembered as one of the best players the manager ever worked with at the club.
