Brighton Eager to Secure Yasin Ayari’s Long-Term Future

 

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly making every possible effort to reach an agreement with midfielder Yasin Ayari over a new long-term contract before the January transfer window opens. According to sources cited by Football Insider, the Premier League club is currently engaged in negotiations with the Swedish international as they look to secure his future at the Amex Stadium.

 

Ayari’s existing contract is scheduled to run until next summer, meaning Brighton could potentially face a difficult situation if his future remains unresolved as the season progresses. However, the club does have an option to extend his current agreement by another year. Should negotiations over a new contract fail to produce an agreement, Brighton are prepared to activate that extension in order to prevent the midfielder from becoming vulnerable to an early departure.

 

The club’s desire to reach an agreement has been strengthened by expectations that Ayari will attract considerable attention during the January transfer window. Brighton believe that several clubs could show an interest in the 22-year-old, particularly if he continues to perform consistently in the Premier League. Brighton Beat Aston Villa to Sign Femi Azeez

 

The report also highlights Brighton’s success in another recent transfer battle, this time involving attacking midfielder Femi Azeez.

 

Former Aston Villa scout and Millwall legend Bryan King recently claimed that Brighton managed to beat Aston Villa to the signing of Azeez on deadline day. The Seagulls reportedly paid around £15 million to secure the 25-year-old from Championship club Millwall.

 

According to King, Villa had a strong interest in Azeez and were particularly impressed by what the player had achieved during his time at Millwall. However, Brighton moved decisively and completed the transfer before their Premier League rivals could secure his signature.

 

Azeez had an impressive campaign for Millwall last season, contributing 11 goals and seven assists across all competitions. Those numbers demonstrated his attacking qualities and help explain why several clubs were reportedly interested in bringing him in.

 

Despite completing the move to Brighton, however, Azeez has not yet been able to make his debut for the club. The attacking midfielder is currently recovering from an injury and remains unavailable for selection.
