Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Hugo Bueno after failing to land Andy Robertson from Liverpool, according to information shared with TEAMtalk.
The Spanish left-back is expected to leave Wolves at the end of the season, with growing interest from several clubs looking to strengthen their options on the left side of defence. Sources indicate that the 23-year-old is eager to remain at the top level of competition as his next career step.
Both Tottenham and Everton are understood to be tracking Bueno’s situation closely, seeing him as a strong candidate to add depth and quality to their defensive ranks.
Spurs previously explored a move for Liverpool captain Andy Robertson during the January transfer window, but the reigning Premier League champions ultimately shut down the deal. That setback has prompted Tottenham to consider alternative targets, with Bueno now emerging as a serious option.
Bueno joined Wolves in 2019 and chose to stay at Molineux this season despite attracting interest from multiple clubs, including Rangers, who had explored a loan move. After returning from a loan spell at Feyenoord following the 2024/25 campaign, he has become a regular presence in the Wolves starting XI.
Despite the club’s struggles, Bueno has impressed with his consistency, making 14 Premier League starts and six appearances off the bench so far this season.
Wolves set £20m asking price for Bueno
Sources suggest Wolves may struggle to keep hold of the defender, with his performances underlining his growth into a dependable Premier League full-back. Comfortable in possession and effective going forward, Bueno’s crossing ability and calmness under pressure have made him one of Wolves’ standout performers — and a likely departure if the £20m valuation is met.
