Leeds United are stepping up their search for a new winger, but they face strong competition from fellow Premier League sides.
The club has felt the absence of Noah Okafor, who had been in excellent form earlier in the season, scoring against Nottingham Forest and Chelsea. However, a hamstring injury has ruled him out of the last four league matches. According to journalist Graham Smyth, Leeds have struggled without his pace and attacking spark, something he believes Wilfried Gnonto could also provide—though Gnonto has found it hard to secure a regular starting spot under Daniel Farke.
As a result, Leeds are now prioritizing reinforcements on the wings ahead of the summer transfer window. One key target is Bazoumana Touré, who currently plays for TSG Hoffenheim. Reports suggest Leeds are increasing their efforts to sign the 20-year-old, but AFC Bournemouth and Everton are also interested.
Touré, who impressed with Ivory Coast at AFCON, is under contract until 2029, meaning Hoffenheim are under no pressure to sell. Still, his estimated price of £20m–£25m makes him an attractive option.
Highly rated by journalist Bence Bocsak, who calls him one of Europe’s most exciting young wingers and likens him to Sadio Mané, Touré has been particularly effective creatively. He has registered 10 assists and scored twice in 22 Bundesliga appearances this season.
With Leeds currently on a five-game winless run and lacking attacking sharpness, adding a player like Touré could be a smart move—especially if they manage to retain their Premier League status.
