JUST IN: Rev’d Sisters Cried Out, Urge Rev. Father’s to Stop Using Them As Bedmates
As women of faith, we, Reverend Sisters Helen Prejean, Simone Campbell, and Margaret McBride, are compelled to address a painful truth. For too long, some Reverend Fathers have exploited and abused their power, using us as bedmates and perpetuating a culture of silence and shame.
We urge our brother priests to recognize the harm caused by their actions. We are not objects for their gratification, but dedicated servants of the Lord, deserving of respect and dignity.
This abuse of power is not only morally reprehensible but also undermines the very fabric of our spiritual community. We call on our Church leaders to take concrete steps to address this issue, ensuring that those responsible are held accountable and that measures are put in place to prevent such abuse in the future.
We pray for a future where our vocations are valued and respected, and where we can serve without fear of exploitation. Together, let us work towards a more just and compassionate Church.
