Stoke City appear set to complete the signing of 23-year-old winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, beating off late interest from AS Monaco, a club competing in the Champions League, to secure his services before the January transfer deadline.
According to reports, Stoke have moved quickly to strengthen their squad as they push for a top-six finish in the EFL Championship. Although several clubs showed interest this month, Rak-Sakyi has chosen Stoke, returning to English football after previous spells that showcased his potential on the right wing.
The move is seen as a statement of intent from Stoke, who are currently battling in the promotion race. Adding a versatile and pacey winger like Rak-Sakyi could give manager Mark Robins more attacking options in the closing weeks of the campaign.
If confirmed by the club in the coming days, this transfer will represent a key signing ahead of the deadline, with Stoke looking to build momentum for a late-season push.
