Ipswich Town have continued to reshape their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, with manager Gary O’Neil still having time to assess whether further additions are required before the transfer window closes.
The Tractor Boys have already been among the more active clubs this summer, bringing in a number of experienced players and promising young talents. Their latest major move saw Paraguay international Julio Enciso return to Portman Road from Strasbourg on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old previously spent part of the 2024/25 season on loan at Ipswich and arrives after an impressive spell in France.
Ipswich have also strengthened in midfield, with Saša Lukić joining from Fulham as their eighth new arrival of the summer at the time of his signing.
Reports indicate that the club have invested heavily in rebuilding the squad, with their summer spending already exceeding £100 million according to transfer tracking reports.
However, with the English transfer window closing at 11pm on Tuesday, September 1, O’Neil and the Ipswich hierarchy still have an opportunity to make further changes if weaknesses become apparent during the opening weeks of the campaign.
For now, Ipswich appear to have made their intentions clear: they are determined to be better prepared for Premier League football this time around, with the final days of the window potentially bringing another twist to their recruitment plans.
