Fenerbahce are reportedly considering a move to bring Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu back to Istanbul, with the proposed transfer dependent on the Turkish club securing Champions League qualification.
Kadıoğlu has emerged as a potential target for Fenerbahce as they look to strengthen at left-back. The Turkey international spent six seasons with the Istanbul giants before completing a move to Brighton in August 2024.
According to reports from Turkey, Fenerbahce’s interest could become more concrete if they successfully overcome Lyon in their Champions League play-off tie and secure a place in the league phase. The club drew 1-1 in the first leg, leaving the tie finely balanced ahead of the return fixture.
Kadıoğlu’s previous spell at Fenerbahce made him a popular figure among supporters, and the versatile defender has continued to attract attention since moving to the Premier League.
Brighton signed the 26-year-old for a reported €30 million in 2024, with additional payments potentially taking the overall package higher. He has since established himself as an important option for the Seagulls when fit.
A return would therefore represent a significant move for Fenerbahce, but any approach is understood to be closely linked to their Champions League ambitions.
For now, Kadıoğlu remains a Brighton player, while Fenerbahce must first negotiate their European qualification challenge before deciding whether to pursue a reunion with their former star.
