Brentford boss Keith Andrews has delivered a worrying injury update ahead of his side’s visit to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace this weekend. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Andrews confirmed that several key players remain sidelined, leaving the squad stretched during a crucial run of fixtures.
Young midfielder Yegor Yarmolyuk is still recovering from a knock and will not be available for selection, while Anass Milambo continues his lengthy rehabilitation following a cruciate ligament injury. Andrews also revealed that Aaron Hickey is still working his way back from a knee problem, with no clear return date yet in sight.
“These are all important players for us, and losing them at this stage of the season is tough,” Andrews said. “We have to be patient with their recoveries and make sure they come back stronger.”
Despite the injury setbacks, the Brentford manager remained positive, highlighting the resilience within his squad. “It’s another opportunity for the younger lads to step up,” he added. “We’ve shown before that we can adapt, and that’s exactly what we’ll do again.”
Brentford will hope to rally together and secure valuable points in South London despite their injury woes.
