Breaking News: Leeds United Football Issues Two Years Deal to Top Target Striker…..
Leeds United have confirmed the signing of striker Lukas Nmecha on a two-year contract, strengthening Daniel Farke’s attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The 26-year-old, who left VfL Wolfsburg earlier this summer, arrives at Elland Road on a free transfer after weeks of speculation linking him to the Whites.
Nmecha was identified early in the window as a priority target for Leeds, with his pace, physicality and versatility making him an attractive option. The Germany international has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City, where he came through the academy, before building his career in the Bundesliga.
Leeds boss Farke expressed delight at securing the deal, insisting Nmecha’s arrival fits perfectly into the club’s plans. “Lukas is a player with proven quality at the top level. His experience in both England and Germany gives us great balance. He’s hungry to prove himself again in the Premier League, and we believe he will make a big impact here,” Farke said.
The move adds to a busy summer of transfer activity for Leeds, who have also brought in Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton and Noah Okafor from AC Milan. The trio of signings underline the club’s intent to bolster their frontline after struggling for consistency in attack last season.
Nmecha, who has represented Germany at senior level, said he is eager to hit the ground running: “Leeds is a massive club with passionate fans. I’m excited for the challenge and can’t wait to play my part.”
