If your Firestick is slow, freezing, or not working properly, try these fixes in order:
First, restart the Fire TV Stick. Unplug it from the power source, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This clears temporary glitches.
Next, check your internet connection. Go to Settings → Network and make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi. If it’s slow, restart your router.
If apps are crashing, force stop and clear cache: Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → select the app → Force Stop → Clear Cache.
Also, update your Fire TV software: Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for Updates.
If storage is full or the device is lagging, uninstall unused apps to free up space.
You can also re-seat the Firestick (remove it from the HDMI port and plug it back in) or try a different HDMI port on your TV.
If problems continue, do a factory reset: Settings → My Fire TV → Reset to Factory Defaults (this will erase everything).
