Fulham tell Atalanta Muniz is not for sale

Fulham have made it clear that striker Rodrigo Muniz is not for sale, firmly rejecting an approach from Serie A side Atalanta. The Italian club submitted a bid worth up to £34 million (€40 million) for the Brazilian forward, but Fulham have declined the offer, signalling their intent to keep hold of the 24-year-old ahead of the new Premier League season.

Muniz, who had a breakout season with Fulham, has attracted interest from several European clubs due to his strong performances and growing potential. However, Fulham remain adamant that they will not entertain any sale unless they are able to secure a suitable replacement first. This condition has been clearly communicated to Atalanta, who have yet to meet Fulham’s valuation or requirements for a possible transfer.

The West London club are understood to value Muniz at around €50 million (approximately £43–44 million), a figure that significantly exceeds Atalanta’s current offer. Sources suggest that Atalanta’s proposal included an initial payment of £30 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total close to £35 million—but Fulham were not tempted.

This strong stance reflects Muniz’s growing importance within Marco Silva’s squad. Fulham view him as a key part of their attacking setup moving forward and are not looking to disrupt team stability so close to the start of the season. While they are aware of the financial appeal of a sizeable transfer fee, the club believes that letting Muniz go without a proven replacement would jeopardize their competitive ambitions.

Atalanta, for their part, are reportedly still interested and could return with an improved offer. But unless they meet Fulham’s asking price and the Premier League side successfully signs another striker, there is little chance a deal will progress.

In summary, Fulham have drawn a clear line: Rodrigo Muniz is not on the market unless very specific conditions are met. Their decision underscores both the player’s growing value and the club’s ambition to strengthen, not weaken, ahead of a challenging season. While interest from Atalanta and potentially other European clubs is expected to continue, Fulham’s firm response sends a message—they are no longer a selling club without a plan. Muniz, for now, remains an integral part of their future.
