The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly shown strong interest in former Kansas Jayhawks quarterback Jalon Daniels following his appearance at the team’s local Pro Day.
Daniels took part in on-field workouts in front of NFL scouts and team personnel, where he was said to have demonstrated strong arm talent, mobility, and athleticism during passing drills. His performance reportedly left a positive impression on those in attendance.
Following the workout, Daniels is also believed to have met with members of the Chiefs’ coaching staff and front office for several hours. The extended discussions have fueled speculation that Kansas City is taking a closer look at him as a potential developmental quarterback option.
While the Chiefs are well established at the quarterback position, the organization has a history of evaluating young, high-upside players who could be developed within their system over time.
Daniels, known for his dual-threat ability during his college career, has attracted attention from scouts due to his playmaking potential, though injuries and consistency have been noted as areas for improvement.
No official offer or roster decision has been announced at this time, but the Chiefs’ interest suggests Daniels could remain under consideration as the team continues its offseason evaluations.
