nib Newcastle Knights NRLW Captain Yasmin Clydsdale has capped off a superb campaign, named NRLW Player of the Year for 2025.
Given the honour of captaincy at the start of the season, Clydsdale has led from the front in 2025 with an average of 141 run metres, two tries and 19 offloads.
It completes a memorable season for the proud Novocastrian after becoming the first Knight to reach 50 NRLW games while named NRLW Second Rower of the Year in the RLPA Dream Team and at the Dally M awards for the third year in a row.
Clydsdale spoke after receiving the award at the Club’s annual NRLW awards evening at NEX Newcastle.
“It’s so special to lead this team. I just wanted to create an environment where everyone can flourish,” Clydsdale said.
“I’m super competitive, I want to be the best and I’ve got so many players around me pushing me to be better.
“I’m extremely grateful to take to the field every week.”
