The transfer saga surrounding Nick Woltemade is intensifying as negotiations between FC Bayern München and VfB Stuttgart remain deadlocked. Despite multiple offers and growing pressure from the player’s camp, a breakthrough seems increasingly unlikely.
Bayern has made several attempts to secure Woltemade, with their latest offer reportedly totaling around 60 million euros, including bonuses and a sell-on clause. However, Stuttgart has consistently rejected these proposals, demanding a significantly higher fee—rumored to be at least 65 to 75 million euros. Club officials in Stuttgart, including sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth, have made it clear: under the current circumstances, a transfer is “not relevant.”
From the player’s perspective, the situation is growing tense. Woltemade is understood to be keen on making the move to Bayern, and his agent Danny Bachmann has publicly criticized Stuttgart’s negotiating stance, accusing the club of unrealistic demands and mixed messages. He claims the player is being blocked from taking the next step in his career, despite Bayern’s willingness to meet market-value expectations.
Internally, the situation is also impacting Woltemade. Although he remains professional and continues training with Stuttgart, teammates such as Deniz Undav have confirmed that the squad is working to support him emotionally during what is clearly a mentally taxing time. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß has not ruled out rotating or even benching Woltemade during key fixtures like the upcoming Franz-Beckenbauer-Supercup, particularly if the transfer drama remains unresolved.
A critical turning point may have already passed. Stuttgart had previously hinted that if no agreement was reached before the Supercup, they would close the door on any summer transfer. That informal deadline has now passed without resolution, making a deal in this window unlikely unless Bayern dramatically increases its offer—or Stuttgart unexpectedly backs down.
Currently, both clubs are standing firm. Bayern appears unwilling to exceed its valuation, while Stuttgart remains confident they can retain their star striker for another season, even at the risk of creating unrest. With the season kicking off and no further meetings scheduled, the Woltemade-Poker has reached a stalemate.
Unless one side relents, Nick Woltemade looks set to stay at VfB Stuttgart—at least for now—leaving Bayern to reassess their striker strategy and the player to manage growing frustration with his stalled dream move.
