Knights Star Bradman Best Called into Kangaroos Squad for England Tour…..
Newcastle Knights powerhouse centre Bradman Best has earned a call-up to the Australian Kangaroos squad for the upcoming end-of-year tour of England, capping off what has been a stellar NRL season for the 23-year-old.
Best’s inclusion comes as a reward for his strong form in 2025, where he has been one of Newcastle’s most consistent performers, showcasing his trademark speed, strength, and defensive reliability. His selection is also seen as a crucial boost for coach Mal Meninga’s side, which is set to face England in a highly anticipated three-match Test series later this month.
Best, who made his Origin debut for New South Wales in 2023, has continued to impress at club level, becoming a key attacking weapon for the Knights. His combination of power running and agility has made him one of the NRL’s most dangerous centres, often turning half-chances into game-changing moments.
Speaking after the announcement, Best expressed his excitement and pride at being selected to represent his country.
“It’s a huge honour to wear the green and gold. Playing for Australia has always been a dream, and I can’t wait to get over to England and give it my all,” Best said.
Meninga praised Best’s development and consistency, saying he brings both “strike and energy” to the squad.
“Bradman’s been outstanding for Newcastle this season. He’s matured as a player and will add real impact to our backline,” Meninga noted.
The Kangaroos will depart for England next week, where they’ll face a strong English side in what promises to be a fierce and physical contest. For Best, it marks another major step in a career that continues to rise rapidly on both the domestic and international stage.
