Best’s inclusion comes as a reward for his strong form in 2025, where he has been one of Newcastle’s most consistent performers, showcasing his trademark speed, strength, and defensive reliability. His selection is also seen as a crucial boost for coach Mal Meninga’s side, which is set to face England in a highly anticipated three-match Test series later this month.
