Liverpool are continuing to monitor Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh as they assess options to strengthen their attacking department before the summer transfer window closes. The Reds are understood to be long-term admirers of the Gambian international, whose pace, direct dribbling and ability to play across the front line have made him one of Brighton’s standout young talents.
Although Liverpool’s interest is believed to be genuine, no formal offer has been made at this stage. The Merseyside club are keeping a close watch on Minteh’s development while evaluating whether to make a move later in the window.
Brighton, however, are in no rush to entertain offers. The Seagulls see Minteh as an important part of Fabian Hürzeler’s plans and are determined to keep hold of the winger unless an exceptional bid arrives. Reports suggest Brighton value the 22-year-old at around £70 million, reflecting both his long-term potential and his importance to the squad.
Minteh enjoyed an encouraging debut campaign at the Amex Stadium after arriving from Newcastle United, quickly establishing himself as one of Brighton’s most dangerous attacking threats. His speed, creativity and eye for goal have also attracted interest from other clubs across Europe.
