Stoke City are reportedly in the race with fellow Championship side Portsmouth to sign Dundee defender Luke Graham this summer.
The 22-year-old centre-back enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Scottish Premiership, earning recognition on the fringes of the Scotland national team. Dundee rejected a £1.5 million bid from Portsmouth during the January transfer window and are now believed to value the defender at around £2 million.
According to reports, Graham is weighing up his options before deciding on his next club. Alongside Stoke City and Portsmouth, Rangers and have also been credited with an interest.
The defender is currently on Dundee’s pre-season tour in Hungary after being voted the club’s Players’ Player of the Year.
Dundee manager previously praised Graham’s professionalism amid transfer speculation, revealing the club rejected a significant offer in January. He said the young defender has continued to improve and believes he has the ability to reach the highest level of the game.
Pressley also acknowledged that Graham’s long-term ambition is to play for a top club, ideally in the Premier League, while stressing that Dundee would only sanction a transfer if their valuation is met.
Stoke City are keen to strengthen their defensive options this summer after relying mainly on Ben Wilmot, Bosun Lawal and loanee Ashley Phillips last season. Maksym Talovierov played a limited role, while Ben Gibson has returned for pre-season training as the Potters assess their squad ahead of the new campaign.
