With Gueye now gone, Everton are expected to prioritize the signing of a new defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes. The club is reportedly searching for a physically dominant presence who can complement the qualities of James Garner and Hayden Hackney in the heart of midfield, adding strength and balance to David Moyes’ evolving squad.
Gueye’s exit also provides Everton with a significant financial boost, freeing up approximately £100,000 per week in wages.
