The £4.2m-rated Mjallby AIF forward previously linked with Portsmouth, Coventry City and Birmingham City has completed a loan move to a new club, bringing an end to another chapter in his developing career.
The Gambia international was strongly admired by Portsmouth last summer as John Mousinho searched for a potential replacement for Matt Ritchie. His performances in Sweden had reportedly caught the attention of several English clubs, with Pompey among those monitoring his situation.
The forward was also the subject of claims that Portsmouth had secured his signature on a pre-contract agreement ahead of the January transfer window. However, those reports were quickly dismissed by Mousinho, who publicly played down suggestions that a deal had already been agreed.
Now, after attracting interest from Coventry and Birmingham, the highly-rated attacker will continue his development elsewhere on loan, while his future remains one to watch.
