Celtic FC are readying a formal bid to sign Danish forward Kasper Høgh, currently starring for Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt, as the January transfer window enters its final week.
The 25-year-old striker has attracted attention across Europe after a standout performance in the UEFA Champions League, where he scored twice in Bodø/Glimt’s 3–1 victory over Manchester City earlier this month.
Høgh, who has a contract with Bodø/Glimt until 2028, is understood to have a valuation in the region of £6 million to £7 million — a fee that Celtic would need to meet to secure his services before the window closes on February 2.
Celtic boss Martin O’Neill is looking to strengthen his attacking options during this transfer window, having already brought in striker Tomas Cvancara on loan from Borussia Mönchengladbach earlier in January.
However, Celtic face competition for Høgh’s signature from other clubs, notably Norwich City, who are also reported to be interested and may have already made an earlier offer.
If a deal is agreed, Høgh would arrive at a club still pushing for the Scottish Premiership title and competing in European competition, adding depth and goals to Celtic’s attacking line.
