Bournemouth have reportedly entered the race alongside Fulham for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Malik Tillman, with both Premier League clubs monitoring his situation ahead of a possible summer transfer.
According to TEAMtalk, Bournemouth are actively exploring the market for a versatile attacking midfielder and have identified the 23-year-old United States international as a strong option. However, they are expected to face serious competition from Fulham, who are also keen to strengthen their midfield options.
Tillman has enjoyed an impressive spell in Germany since joining Bayer Leverkusen, where he has established himself as an influential figure in the 2025/26 season, scoring 8 goals. His ability to play both as an attacking midfielder and in deeper central roles makes him an attractive and flexible solution for clubs looking to add creativity and balance in midfield.
Fulham are believed to be prioritising the addition of more quality and depth in their midfield. They are in need of a player who can consistently create chances for attackers while also contributing goals from midfield. Tillman fits that profile well, with his technical ability and growing physical presence suggesting he could adapt smoothly to the demands of the Premier League.
Still only 23, the American midfielder is seen as a player with significant potential for further development under the right coaching environment. Bayer Leverkusen originally invested around €35 million to sign him, and they are now expected to demand an even higher fee if they are to consider selling him. That valuation could become a major challenge for interested clubs, particularly Fulham.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are also pushing to strengthen their attacking unit. With Antoine Semenyo having left the club recently, they are looking to replace his goals and creativity in the final third. Tillman is viewed as someone who could immediately improve their attacking output and offer more flexibility across midfield and forward positions.
A move to the Premier League could appeal strongly to Tillman, who would likely be interested in testing himself in England’s top flight. Both Bournemouth and Fulham are established mid-table sides with ambitions of progressing further up the table and potentially challenging for European qualification in the near future. As a result, both clubs are expected to continue strengthening their squads with high-quality additions like Tillman as the transfer window approaches.
