Bradford City manager Graham Alexander has provided an injury update on two key players as the Bantams continue their campaign.
The City boss spoke about the fitness of striker Kayden Jackson — a former Ipswich Town forward who also played for Derby County — and defender Aden Baldwin.
Jackson still recovering
Alexander confirmed that Jackson is currently recovering from a knee injury he picked up shortly after joining Bradford earlier this year. The striker returned to his hometown club in January 2026 on a two-and-a-half-year contract after leaving Derby County.

The manager explained that the club are carefully monitoring the striker’s rehabilitation and will not rush him back too quickly. Jackson had made a promising start to life with the Bantams before the injury setback, including scoring his first goal for the club soon after his debut.

Baldwin dealing with facial injury
Alexander also addressed the situation surrounding centre-back Baldwin. The defender recently suffered a broken nose and required surgery after the injury. He has been recovering during his suspension and is expected to return wearing a protective mask once cleared to play.

The Bradford boss praised Baldwin’s commitment and professionalism, stressing that the club are pleased with how the defender has handled his recovery.
Boost expected soon
Although both players are currently unavailable, Alexander suggested their returns may not be too far away. The Bantams are hopeful that Jackson can return to training soon, while Baldwin’s recovery from surgery is progressing well.
The updates offer some encouragement for Bradford City supporters as the club looks to maintain momentum in the league while waiting for two important players to regain full fitness.
