Derby County are among the latest Championship clubs weighing up a move for Will Ferry following his impressive campaign with Dundee United.
Fellow Championship sides Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic have also maintained a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old, who continues to attract attention ahead of the summer window.
Derby have reportedly carried out extensive scouting work both in the UK and abroad as they search for reinforcements, with Ferry emerging as a serious option for the left flank.
The defender enjoyed an excellent season for Dundee United, earning his first two senior call-ups to the Republic of Ireland national football team. He also made his international debut last week during Ireland’s victory over Grenada national football team.
With Derby keen to strengthen their left-sided options, the club are now considering whether to advance their interest in Ferry, whose contract enters its final year this summer.
Dundee United are expected to listen to offers for the former Southampton FC youngster, especially after rejecting a six-figure proposal from Vancouver Whitecaps FC last summer. Interest from Major League Soccer is also believed to remain active.
