Brighton & Hove Albion have officially confirmed that young goalkeeper Nils Ramming will spend the upcoming season on loan with newly promoted League Two side Rochdale, as the two clubs finalize the temporary transfer agreement.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Brighton from German club Eintracht Frankfurt in July 2025, is regarded as one of the club’s promising young talents. Before completing his move to Rochdale, Ramming will travel with Brighton’s first-team squad for their pre-season training camp in France. Following the conclusion of the camp, he will head to Spotland Stadium to begin his loan spell, where he is expected to gain valuable first-team experience throughout the 2026/27 campaign.
Brighton’s sporting director, Mike Cave, expressed his confidence in the move, describing it as an important milestone in the goalkeeper’s development. He explained that regular senior football will provide Ramming with the ideal platform to continue his progress and adapt to the demands of the men’s game. Rochdale earned promotion to League Two after a successful National League play-off campaign last season and are preparing for life back in the English Football League.
