Caio Ifans Commits Future to Swansea City with First Professional Contract
Promising young midfielder Caio Ifans has reached an important milestone in his football career after signing his first professional contract with Swansea City. The 18-year-old has agreed to a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2027, marking the next chapter in his development after successfully completing his scholarship.
Ifans has been part of Swansea City’s academy setup since joining at under-nine level, progressing steadily through the club’s youth ranks. A lifelong supporter of the Swans, his journey from academy prospect to professional player reflects years of dedication, hard work, and consistent performances.
The talented midfielder made his debut for Swansea City’s under-21 side more than two years ago, featuring in an impressive 3-1 victory over Bristol City at the Swansea.com Stadium. Since that breakthrough appearance, he has established himself as a regular member of the under-21 squad, gaining valuable experience by competing in both the Nathaniel MG Cup and the Premier League Cup across the past two seasons.
In addition to his contributions at under-21 level, Ifans also played an important role for the club’s under-18 team during the 2023-24 campaign. He was part of the squad that enjoyed an impressive run to the Professional Development League Cup final, further highlighting his potential and importance within Swansea City’s academy system.
By signing his first professional contract, Ifans takes another significant step in his development, with both the player and the club hoping he can continue his progress and eventually make an impact at senior level in the years ahead.
