It was a real debate earlier this offseason whether the Los Angeles Chargers should have kept Joey Bosa or not.
He was entering the last year of a huge contract he signed back in 2020 that was riddled with injury guarantees.
The team’s other edge rusher, Khalil Mack, was also a free agent and the Chargers ultimately ended up keeping him instead of Bosa.
The star pass rusher was the longest tenured player on the team, but his injury concerns over the past few seasons made him more trouble than he was worth.
He ended up signing with the Buffalo Bills in the early stages of free agency and the injury bug has reared its ugly head again.
It does not sound like the injury is a big concern, but it is not a good sign that the former Defensive Rookie of the Year is already nursing injuries before playing a game with the team.
