Callum O’Hare Turns Down Eye-Catching £10 Million Offer — Commits to Sheffield United’s Promotion Fight

In a powerful statement of intent that has caught the attention of Championship rivals, Sheffield United midfielder Callum O’Hare has reportedly rejected a tempting £10 million transfer offer from a Premier League club — choosing instead to stay at Bramall Lane and focus on the Blades’ promotion ambitions.

O’Hare, 27, has emerged as one of Sheffield United’s most influential players this season, earning growing admiration from supporters for his energy, creativity, and decisive contributions in big moments. While opinions among the fanbase remain mixed at times, his recent performances — including crucial goals and assists — have seen him increasingly recognised as a player capable of changing games.

Sources close to the club suggest the £10 million bid came from a top-flight side monitoring his resurgence and hoping to secure him as a squad-strengthening option. For a Championship club, the figure would have represented a significant financial opportunity. Yet O’Hare is said to have made his stance clear almost immediately.

“I’m fully focused on Sheffield United,” O’Hare reportedly told those close to him.

“The manager believes in me, the club has backed me, and I want to be part of getting this team where it belongs.”

Under Chris Wilder, O’Hare has been trusted with a central role in United’s attacking play, often tasked with unlocking stubborn defences and driving the team forward during tight matches. His growing influence has not gone unnoticed, with recent fan discussions and match-day reactions reflecting a rising appreciation for his work rate and commitment.

Manager Chris Wilder is understood to have welcomed O’Hare’s decision, viewing it as a boost to squad morale during a crucial phase of the season.

“Callum’s attitude has been spot-on,” a club source said. “He wants to prove himself here, not take the easy option elsewhere.”

While £10 million may be considered ambitious for a player whose market value sits far lower, the exaggerated figure underlines the belief that O’Hare’s best football could still be ahead of him — particularly if Sheffield United secure promotion.

For now, the midfielder remains focused on delivering on the pitch, knowing that consistent performances will matter more than speculation. And as the Blades push toward the business end of the season, his decision to stay could yet prove pivotal.
