John Mousinho has openly addressed a major summer priority, confirming several key Portsmouth players are approaching the end of their contracts on June 30, 2026, as the club prepares for an important rebuilding phase. The head coach named senior figures Marlon Pack, Connor Ogilvie, Zak Swanson, Andre Dozzell, Jordan Archer, Reuben Swann, and Toby Steward among those facing uncertain futures.
Mousinho made it clear that securing the futures of Zak Swanson and Connor Ogilvie remains a high priority, with both players viewed as central to the club’s plans moving forward. Discussions are reportedly ongoing as Portsmouth look to avoid losing important core members ahead of next season.
There is also flexibility regarding Reuben Swann and Toby Steward, with the club holding 12-month extension options on both players, offering some control over their immediate futures. Mousinho described the coming weeks as crucial in shaping the squad.
He also clarified that Callum Lang is no longer part of those considerations, following his February 2026 move to Preston North End, while Florian Bianchini is expected to return to his parent club once his loan expires.
With several decisions looming, Mousinho emphasized the importance of stability, insisting contract talks will play a vital role in building a stronger, more competitive Portsmouth side for the future.
