Transfer speculation continues to gather pace as Carlos Baleba eyes a long-anticipated move to Manchester United. The Cameroon international has reportedly had an agreement on personal terms in place since last year, underlining his desire to make the switch to Old Trafford.
However, the final decision now lies with United, who must choose whether to proceed with Baleba or shift focus to alternative midfield targets this summer. Brighton & Hove Albion previously stood firm in July 2025, rejecting any approach and closing the door on his exit.
This time, the situation appears different. With a £100m release clause in play, the deal could materialize if United decide to activate it. As the club plans to recruit at least two midfielders, Baleba remains a strong and intriguing option.
