Portsmouth F.C. and Oxford United F.C. are competing to sign Tommi O’Reilly, who is currently on loan at Crewe Alexandra F.C., according to Football Insider sources.
The 22-year-old, capable of playing on the wing or in an attacking midfield role, has been ever-present in the league for Crewe this season, registering more than 20 goal contributions. His consistent performances were rewarded when he was voted the club’s Player of the Season by his teammates.
While several League One sides are interested in securing his signature, Championship clubs have now entered the race after taking note of his impressive campaign.
O’Reilly remains under contract with Aston Villa F.C. until 2028, meaning the Premier League side holds the upper hand in deciding his future.
