Wilson Joins Leeds After Departing Fulham
Harry Wilson has officially completed a transfer to Leeds United after deciding against accepting Fulham’s proposal for a contract extension, bringing his four-year spell at Craven Cottage to an end.
The 29-year-old winger joined Fulham from Liverpool in July 2021 and quickly became an important member of the squad. Throughout his time with the club, Wilson established himself as one of Fulham’s most reliable attacking players, making significant contributions with his creativity, goals, and assists. His consistent performances earned him a key role in the team and made him a fan favourite.
With Wilson’s contract expiring this summer, uncertainty had surrounded his future for several months. Despite Fulham’s efforts to retain his services by offering him a new deal, the Welsh international opted to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Leeds United, who have admired Wilson for a considerable period, finally secured his signature after previous attempts to sign him during recent transfer windows were unsuccessful. On those occasions, Fulham rejected Leeds’ approaches, determined to keep hold of one of their most influential players.
Now, with Wilson available following the expiration of his contract, Leeds have successfully completed the move, signing the experienced winger on a four-year contract. His arrival is expected to strengthen the club’s attacking options as they look to benefit from his experience, technical ability, and proven quality in English football.
